Every Friday for the next three months Meghan and Rachel will be working with Alicia’s 4th and 5th grade class to explore a variety of drawing techniques to create new and exciting artworks. Our goal is for students to develop and build upon basic drawing skills through creative lessons that are both thoughtful and meaningful to each student.
Students will be looking at contemporary art works, exploring different art materials, and collaborating with each other by sharing ideas and discoveries. They will keep visual records of their discoveries, explorations, ideas and reflections in their personal sketchbooks while they continue to experiment and exercise the creative process of art making.
Throughout our drawing unit students will practice 21st century skills that will transfer to their everyday life outside of the academic classroom. Stay connected by checking back every week to see what creative projects we are working on.
